Exciting competitions: Sailors from all over Germany conquer Templin!

Last weekend it went lively on the Templin city lake when the regatta of the "Seggerlings" took place. After the canceled event, the sailor club Templin finally had reason to be happy again last year, and the proud participants defied the winds to water and the rain on land. Over 20 boats, including six from Templin, competed against each other in exciting competitions. The event was a complete success and created a good atmosphere among the participants and the numerous spectators. According to Nordkurier observed an interesting race, which kept shorter due to the western winds was.

After an eventful first competition day, the participants and organizers sat together over coffee and cake to share the impressions. Vice-President Klaus Hülskopf took care of the organization on land, while club boss Dietmar Bootz kept an eye on the events on the water and ensured a smooth process. The results of these races are included in the German ranking, which gave the participants additional motivation to do their best.

exciting competitions and young talents

The regatta attracted a total of over 300 children and adolescents from four classes, which underlines the importance of sailing for young talents. It is particularly gratifying that Templiner achieved good results at the State Youth Championships in Blossin. Tom Ziethmann and Michel Berger even made it to second place and secured the title Vice-Landesmeister at the Cadets. Such successes contribute to the promotion of sailing, which is also very popular in northern Germany.

The races of this weekend not only promoted competition, but also the sense of community among the sailors. Enno Ecks from the Water Sports Association ended the collaboration with strong 17 points after eight races in first place. His brother Guido Ecks came in second place with 18 points. The members of the Templin sailor club also achieved remarkable results:

Platz participant Points
3. Wolfram Kummer 22
4. Thomas Lauchs 32
13. Peter Seidler 73
16. grit lux 100
17. Matthias Letzin 99

New portal for safe races

Another step to improve the race organization is the introduction of the platform rattfahrten.net . This new portal makes it possible to easily create regattas and register participants. With the closure of racoffice.org steps rachte.net in the breach to give the clubs and sailors a modern, user -friendly solution. The developers have numerous functions in store to make the experience of sailing even more smoothly.

The innovations that are due in the coming weeks are promising. Including the introduction of a CSV export and the direct connection to Velumng in order to further optimize the registration process. Many club members will also accommodate the possibility of simply editing reports.

The topic of protest and appointment, which is not neglected in sailing, is also addressed. Associations can submit applications in accordance with the German sailor association , and there are clear deadlines for submitting calls. From the new race rules (WR) 2025-2028, the deadline for appeals is only seven days left. This ensures more efficiency and clarity in the decisions of the protest committees.

With these exciting developments and events, sailing in the Templin region remains alive and exciting, and the anticipation for upcoming competitions is great. Sailing is not only a competition, but also an opportunity to make friendships and exchange ideas with other seafarers. And so it was again said at the end: Sail Away!
