In a few days, on August 16th and 17th, 2025, the Strand Arena in Warnemünde will become the center of beach soccer. The German Beach Soccer Championship promises an exciting weekend with around 200 players fighting for the title. The audience can expect an exciting program. The men's German Beach Soccer League will play its semi-finals and finals on the sand, while in the women's Final 4 tournament the teams will fight for the trophies in exciting matches. The participants include the defending champion BeachKick Ladies from Atlético Erlangen as well as the top-class opponents from FC Lieberampool, FSV Silvester 91 and TSV Motor Gispersleben.
Highlights of the event
The schedule calls for the start of the women's semi-finals on Saturday at 11.30 a.m., followed by the grand final on Sunday at 1 p.m. The men's final, which kicks off on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., will be no less exciting. Finally, at 4 p.m. the four best teams will fight for the title of the German Beach Soccer Championship. Important information for fans: Beach soccer will be played in a special format. The games never end in a draw; If the score is tied, there will be a three-minute extra time and possibly a penalty shootout. Teams consist of a maximum of five players, including a goalkeeper, and the playing time extends over three thirds of twelve minutes each. Handball regulations also differ from those in classic football.
