Hansa Rostock in the test match: Dramatic 3-2 win against Wismar!

The 1,850 spectators saw an exciting football game on June 28, 2025 in the stadium in Wismar. The F.C. Hansa Rostock played against FC Anker Wismar in the second test match of the season and won 3-2 after an exciting match. Hansa showed signs of exhaustion from the first week of training right at the start of the game, but had to prevail in the end.

The start was promising for the Rostock team. In the 8th minute, Andreas Voglsammer scored a penalty after Ryan Naderi was fouled, giving the team an early lead. But FC Anker Wismar was undeterred: Jonas Hurtig took advantage of a lack of attention in the Hansa defense in the 17th minute and equalized with a deflected shot. Despite Rostock's continued dominant style of play, defensive problems remained noticeable.

Alternating half times

At halftime it was 2-2 after Paul Stock scored to make it 2-1 for Hansa shortly before the half-time whistle in the 45th minute, but Pascal Breier immediately equalized for Wismar (45th +2 minutes). Coach Patrick Glöckner used the second half to change his team almost completely and thus brought in fresh forces. Cedric Harenbrock gave Hansa the lead again in the 57th minute to make it 3-2, but the Rostock team missed numerous other chances. This refers to the attempts by Harenbrock (75th), David Hummel (81st, 85th) and Felix Ruschke (82nd).

Despite the oppressive superiority, Hansa was lucky when Wismar also missed a good opportunity to equalize - Nico Billep failed in the 77th minute. In the end, Hansa remains undefeated, albeit with a sore footballer's heart, and shows that the weather of the first weeks of the season leaves its mark.

Commitment beyond the field

The campaign, which lasts until July 12, 2024, encourages participants to donate EUR 0.50 for each lap of the stadium they complete.
