In the last few days there has been news about the road renewal between Klein Rogahn and Schwerin-Neumühle. We've been working hard there since October 22, 2025. The first construction phase in the train station area is nearing completion as planned and is scheduled to be completed by October 30, 2025 Baltic Sea newspaper reported.
But not everything goes as planned. The second construction phase on state road 042, which was announced for November 3, 2025, will be postponed indefinitely. The work will now not be carried out until 2026. This decision is due to possible effects on the traffic situation in Schwerin, which must be taken into account at this time.
The financial aspects
The total construction costs for both sections add up to around 358,000 euros, which will be borne by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The ceiling renewal is being carried out by Matthäi Bauunternehmen GmbH & Co. KG, which has already proven its skills in the first phase.
