Sports badge day in Jarmen: Children compete-be there!

On July 24, 2025, the time has come again: The Jarmen-Tutow office invites you to the fifth edition of the popular sports badge day. As Nordkurier , around 500 children from schools and day care centers are expected this year. The event takes place on the soccer field on the western outskirts, where a club mile with exciting activities for young and old extends.

The event is organized in close cooperation with the municipality and the district sports association Vorpommern-Greifswald. The offers include not only the various disciplines that can be completed for the German sports badge, but also a variety of activities on the club mile. The Jarmen volunteer fire brigade and over 30 volunteers provide food and support. "We look forward to a great day full of sports and community," says Mayor André Werner.

The event starts at 8 a.m. with a greeting and warming of the participants. The first exams begin about half an hour later and can be carried out by around 1 p.m. It is particularly gratifying that no pre -registration is required - spontaneous participation is therefore very welcome. All interested parties, whether from clubs, companies or simply enthusiastic about sports, can take off their personal sports badge.

In order to draw attention to the variety of disciplines, the club mile is an important element of the day. Here the children can not only try out classic requirements such as endurance, strength, speed and coordination, but also take part in exciting activities such as darts, lightpoint shooting and even dragon boating. All participants who successfully put the German sports badge receive and receive a badge and a certificate - and there is also a medal for the best participants of each group. The sports badge can be acquired from the age of 6, which gives the youngest athletes the opportunity to be active. Many helpers who look after the disciplines or are active themselves also contribute to an unforgettable experience.

"It is really great to see how many children and families are enthusiastic about the sports badge," notes one of the organizers and is happy about the increasing participation of daycare centers and schools from the area.
