In the early afternoon, a 24-year-old woman from Wittenberg was the victim of a bicycle theft. Tuesday evening ended somewhat dramatically for a 32-year-old Mercedes driver who was driving a stolen vehicle and stolen license plates on Elsterstrasse at 11:30 p.m. In addition, he was under the influence of narcotics and did not have a driver's license. His 18-year-old passenger had an arrest warrant and was also in possession of narcotics. This unfortunate situation was also linked to fuel fraud at an Esso gas station.
