Dynamo Dresden starts U21: Talents for the professionals of tomorrow!

Dresden, Deutschland - After ten years of abstinence, Dynamo Dresden finally introduces a U21 team in the Landesliga. This exciting project is to integrate more talented players from the region into the professional team. Marco Hartmann, who plays a central role as a youth leader of Dynamo, underlines the importance of young talent and wants to pave the way for young talents. It is planned to climb the Oberliga with the U21 as soon as possible, but Hartmann admits that the first year will be a challenge. The path is long, but of crucial importance for the sports association.

How the Image This year only two experienced players-Paul Milde and Jonas Böhmert-are available, while five talented U19 juniors are pulled up into the U21. The eye in particular seems to be aimed at Friedrich Müller, a 19-year-old U18 international. Müller had to struggle with injury problems, but is considered a potential home for the professional team.

Start of the preparation

The U21 from Dynamo Dresden started preparing for the new season on July 14th. Marco Hartmann speaks of a positive first transfer phase and refers to a high quota of the desired players who could be integrated into the squad planning. Local talents were particularly important to strengthen identification with the association. In cooperation with Paul Wagner, the U21 coach, and the sporting management was developed by a concept that is geared towards sustainability and long-term. Hartmann is already skeptical about the use of professionals in the Sachsenliga team, unless they are affected by longer injury breaks.

The long-term goal remains clear: the U21 should act as a link between the A-youth and the professional team. A promotion to the Oberliga is being worked on, while the integration of players from the U21 into the first team is sought. There is no defined quota for the ascent, but Hartmann and his team do everything possible to get as many talents as possible in the professional team, as well as the Tag24 determined.

The challenges of young talent work

The challenges in the amateur and young talent area should not be underestimated. The DFB has been promoting talents for years through a structured program that is created across the board in Germany. This talent promotion system is intended to ensure that every talented player gets the chance of funding. With around 14,000 players viewed and 339 bases everywhere in Germany, there are clear structures to not only develop playful skills, but also technical and creative skills.

Dynamo Dresden has set itself the goal of binding the best talents from the region itself and not giving them up to larger clubs. Hartmann emphasizes that the way to the professional area often leads over the second and third division. It remains exciting to observe how the U21 will beat in the coming season and whether the goals set can also be achieved. One thing is certain: the talents from Dresden have a good springboard to arrive at the top.
