29,000 euros for a new neighborhood project in Döbeln-West: This is how it will!
29,000 euros for a new neighborhood project in Döbeln-West: This is how it will!
Döbeln-West, Deutschland - A fresh wind blows in Döbeln-West! The local association has received a funding of 29,000 euros through the German television bottery. This is a significant step for the community, because the neighborhood project aims to bring people together in the district and actively shape the living environment. The official start of the project was on July 1, 2025, and the anticipation is great.
The neighborhood project follows the previously successfully carried out “Werkstadt” project, which was supported over three years. Leon Grünig, who gained important experiences during the "Werkstadt" project, is now responsible for the implementation and has discovered the opportunity to take advantage of a funding guideline for neighborhood development here. Framed from the train station to the flood shaft and including the monastery meadows, the district includes both new buildings and renovated and unnovated old stocks, which creates a colorful mixture.
together for better cooperation
But what exactly is the funding achieved? In accordance with the goals of the Tribshaus e.V., the focus of the project is on encounters, the upgrading of the cityscape and a deep socially spatial analysis. Families, young people, seniors and people with escape history are particularly in view. At a time when there is a lack of places of encounter and a strong sense of community, the project is exactly the right means of grasping and networking the needs of the residents.
- planned activities in the first project phase:
- Events
- District tours
- office hours
- Open meetings
- participation formats
like Stephan Masch from the German television bottery emphasized, such projects offer a valuable opportunity to sustainably improve the cooperation in everyday life. The support not only secures personnel costs for the project management and material costs by mid -2026, but is a strong sign of solidarity for the German communities.
A look at the numbers
The total cost of the first project phase amounts to around 36,500 euros - an amount that is well invested in order to develop a sustainable concept for long -term neighborhood work. In the meantime, the German television voter has already distributed 50 million euros nationwide in 2024 to over 300 social projects, including 2.9 million euros for 22 projects in Saxony alone. It remains to be hoped that Döbeln-West can also benefit from this wave of support.
A big thank you deserves to the teammates of the television bottery, who, with their commitment, only enable the Gebrahaus e.V. to start with such a strong tailwind. Especially in an environment, where people with different backgrounds meet, any initiative that promotes exchange can only be seen as a profit for the community.
For everyone who wants to get involved or learn more about the project: the funding applications for such social initiatives can be made at any time, and the board decides twice a year about the incoming applications. The Tribshaus e.V. has the right sense to launch a strong joint project here. We can be excited to see what the next steps will bring!
