The Saxon watch manufacturer Tutima from Glashütte is making a name for itself these days. How Sächsische.de reports, the company is the new sponsor of the Bundesliga soccer team Werder Bremen. In this exciting partnership, Tutima's logo will be displayed on the LED boards of the Weserstadion during injury time of all of the club's home games.

The history of Tutima goes back to 1926, when Uhren-Rohwerke-Fabrik Glashütte AG (UROFA) was founded. In 1927 the first watches came onto the market under the brand name Tutima. Today the administrative headquarters is in Ganderkesee, near Bremen, where the Delecate family is based. Managing director Matthias Stotz emphasizes the pan-German identity of the brand and sees a close connection between watchmaking tradition and the passionate enthusiasm for football.

Exclusive offers for fans

As part of the partnership with SV Werder Bremen, Tutima will release an exclusive edition of a Werder watch. This limited edition watch, limited to just 112 pieces, will feature the club's colors of green and white and will cost €3,600. "The watch is a homage to the "12", which is traditionally reserved for Werder fans," explains SV Werder's Head of Club-to-Partner, Christian Rauhut. The watch will be available both in the WERDER fan world and in the online shop, making it the perfect addition for every fan.

Matthias Stotz emphasized that Tutima not only wants to appeal to SV Werder Bremen supporters, but also wants to show regional commitment. “We are proud to work with a club as rich in tradition as Werder Bremen,” said Stotz. He points out that he is not seeking a partnership with Bundesliga rival RB Leipzig, as there is already a collaboration there with the Swiss watch brand Tudor. There is currently no further information about possible support for the second division team Dynamo Dresden.

Successes and challenges

Tutima Uhrenfabrik GmbH & Co KG can look forward to positive developments. In 2021, the company with around 90 employees achieved a surplus of around one million euros. Despite these successes, high investments and advertising expenses have weighed on the operating result. But Stotz remains optimistic: “We see the partnership with Werder Bremen as an opportunity to further strengthen our brand and reach a broader fan base.”

With this new collaboration, Tutima shows that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand.
