FC Carl Zeiss Jena dominates Schweinfurt with a clear 3-1 in a test game!

Gotha, Deutschland - On July 6, 2025, an exciting test game took place between FC Carl Zeiss Jena and 1. FC Schweinfurt, in which Jena clearly prevailed with 3: 1 (3: 0). Jena trainer Volkan Uluc could be completely satisfied with the performance of his team, especially in the first half in which the Jena scored three goals. However, the start of the game was committed on both sides, whereby Schweinfurt had the first promising chances in the 5th and 7th minute through Joshua Endres.

Jena came to the first option in the 12th minute by Manassé Eshele, but whose header was parried by the Keeper in Schweinfurt. However, Eshele was not asked for long and scored 1-0 for the hosts in the 31st minute. Just three minutes later, Marcel Hoppe increased to 2-0 after an excellent submission from Jona Kratzenberg. Another header from Eshele, which netted in the 35th minute after a flank from Hoppe, provided the clear 3-0 break.

Change and lack of chance after half -time

In the half -time, both teams exchanged almost the entire team, which significantly changed the dynamics of the game. After the break, Schweinfurt looked for opportunities to penetrate the Jena defense, but hardly found any gaps. In the 72nd minute, Michael Dellinger scored the 1: 3, but the thread did not really tore it for Schweinfurt. Jena showed hardly any offensive actions in the second round without Eshele, and there was no real danger to the Jena goal.

Erfurt fights, but cannot score

Another game took place at the same time between Rot-Weiß Erfurt and Alemannia Aachen, which also offered an exciting duel. Erfurt lost 1: 2 (1: 1) in the Volkspark Stadium in Gotha in front of 1,421 spectators. Aachen took the lead early in the 9th minute through Valmir Sulenjmani. Erfurt came back into the game in the 32nd minute through a converted penalty from Maxime Awoudja after he was fouled in the penalty area.

In the second section, the teams changed numerous players again, which brought Erfurt more swing. Nevertheless, Simon Joachims for Aachen scored the decisive goal to 2-1 in the 77th minute. Despite a final offensive, the Erfurters no longer found their way to the goal, and so it stayed with the ultimately scarce result.
