FC Carl Zeiss Jena dominates Schweinfurt with a clear 3-1 in a friendly!

On July 6, 2025, an exciting test match took place between FC Carl Zeiss Jena and 1. FC Schweinfurt, in which Jena clearly won 3-1 (3-0). Jena coach Volkan Uluc was completely satisfied with his team's performance, especially in the first half, in which the Jena team scored three goals. However, the start of the game was committed on both sides, with Schweinfurt having their first promising chances in the 5th and 7th minutes through Joshua Endres.

Jena had its first opportunity in the 12th minute through Manassé Eshele, whose header was parried by the Schweinfurt keeper. However, Eshele didn't take long to make it 1-0 for the hosts in the 31st minute. Just three minutes later, Marcel Hoppe made it 2-0 after an excellent assist from Jona Kratzenberg. Another header from Eshele, who scored from a cross from Hoppe in the 35th minute, made it 3-0 at the break.

Change and no chance after half time

At halftime, both teams swapped almost their entire squad, which noticeably changed the dynamics of the game. After the break, Schweinfurt looked for opportunities to penetrate Jena's defense, but found hardly any gaps. In the 72nd minute, Michael Dellinger made it 1:3, but it didn't really break the thread for Schweinfurt. Jena hardly showed any offensive action in the second half without Eshele, and there was no real threat to the Jena goal.

Erfurt fights, but cannot score

Another game took place at the same time between Rot-Weiß Erfurt and Alemannia Aachen, which also offered an exciting duel. Erfurt lost 1:2 (1:1) in the Volkspark Stadium in Gotha in front of 1,421 spectators. Aachen took the lead early in the 9th minute through Valmir Sulejmani. Erfurt got back into the game in the 32nd minute thanks to a penalty from Maxime Awoudja after he was fouled in the penalty area.

In the second section, the teams changed numerous players again, which gave Erfurt more momentum. Nevertheless, Simon Joachims scored the decisive goal for Aachen in the 77th minute to make it 2-1. Despite a final offensive, the Erfurt team could no longer find the way to the goal, and so the result was ultimately narrow.
