The Egaparkfreunde association, founded in 1993, plays a central role in this. With around 560 members, including more and more young people and families, the association is committed to the preservation and further development of the park. Especially in the months from April to October, the volunteers tackle vigorously - be it when caring for beds, paths or playing areas, or when pouring and cutting.

The regular work assignments, which often take place monthly or even weekly, strengthen not only the park, but also the sense of community within the members. The Egapark becomes a real meeting point for everyone who appreciates nature, education and relaxation alike. A highlight in the calendar of the association is the annual general meeting in summer, in which the committed volunteers report on their success, advertise new members and collect donations for projects such as the water playground.

The Egapark offers exciting opportunities for everyone who wants to actively contribute to care and design. If you are interested, you will find numerous areas in which committed supporters are welcome. Ideally, at least ten hours per month are planned in the volunteer teams in order to make a regular contribution to maintaining this unique system. Anyone who wants to actively participate can acquire numerous knowledge of plants and garden maintenance and at the same time counteract loneliness.
