Carnival in the Ilm district: fools celebrate a colorful start in front of the town hall!
November 11th is just around the corner, and for the fools in Gräfinau-Angstedt that means that the carnival season is finally beginning. On today's date, November 11th, 2025, the Gräfinau Carnival Association (GCV) opens the foolish time at 11:11 a.m. in front of the town hall with a colorful festival.
Around 30 adults and numerous children from the local daycare center are taking part. These little party beasts bring their rattles with them to provide musical accompaniment to the hustle and bustle. The square is decorated with colorful confetti, and the participants' loud Helau cheers fill the air as carnival fans celebrate the beginning of their favorite season. People laugh, dance and have fun!
Children and fools bring joy
The participation of children brings with it a very special atmosphere. Their curiosity and joy are contagious and give the party a family touch. The rattles they shake hypnotize the crowd with their joyful sound, helping the entire community come together to uphold the Mardi Gras tradition.
This event is not only a start to the foolish time, but also an opportunity for the community to show its solidarity. With events like these, the GCV manages to unite many people and stir up anticipation for the carnival season. The supporting program promises lots of fun for young and old.
A look outside the box
While the fools celebrate happily in Gräfinau, the digital world doesn't stand still either. In August 2024 there was an interesting update for Power BI that offers new functions and possibilities. Some of the highlights include the integration of Copilot, which can answer questions based on the semantic model, and the ability to send reports directly to OneDrive/SharePoint. Another exciting point is the introduction of new visual elements such as the Drill Down Pie PRO and the Hierarchical Bar Chart, which help users visualize their data more creatively.
Such technical innovations show that even in a time when the world is constantly changing, celebration and community always have a place. Traditions like Carnival are what bring us together while at the same time taking innovative steps into the future.
Whether in the town hall of Gräfinau-Angstedt or in digital spaces – the desire to celebrate and exchange ideas with one another is clearly noticeable in both cases. So it will be exciting to see how the carnival continues in the coming weeks and months and what new developments await us in the digital world. We are convinced: It is a great time to live both a sense of tradition and a passion for innovation!
