New state youth leadership is based on fair opportunities in the public service!

Thüringen, Deutschland - On June 28, 2025, a new wind was unfolded in the DBB youth in Thuringia, because the new state youth leadership has started their work. As the Thuringian civil servant Association reports, the State Youth Day is the top body and crucial for the interests of young people in the public service and privatized service providers such as rail and post. With the choice of five committed personalities, the basis for fresh wind was laid in the advocacy of young employees.

The chosen state youth leadership consists of:

  • Saskia Grimm (26 years, finance economist) : As chair, she wants to sensitize employers to the appreciation of young people and is committed to an equivalent grouping of civil servants and tariff employees.
  • Martin Peters (32 years, IT system electronics engineer) : The deputy state youth leader brings his specialist knowledge in IT and digitization to clarify the opportunities of the unions.
  • Marie-Luise Hadlich (30 years, legal nurse) : She takes over the position of deputy state youth leader and treasurer and wants to make the public service more attractive.
  • Abigail Rößner (31 years, legal nurse) : Also as a deputy state youth leader, she aims to improve working conditions for young people in public service.
  • Elena Golovatenko (25 years, finance host) : She wants to make the training opportunities for the youth more attractive and support their development.

The vision of the new management

The new management not only brings fresh ideas, but also a clear vision. The focus is on fair working conditions, more participation and a strong voice for the youth. The DBB youth, one of the largest youth union associations in Germany with more than 150,000 members, is committed to the interests of young employees between the ages of 16 and 30 and also sees itself as a socio -political force. The integration of the young generation into current political issues plays a central role, as the DBB emphasizes.

A major concern of the DBB youth is to combat youth unemployment in the EU. The statistics show alarming differences: in Spain, youth unemployment is 28.6%, while Germany is comparatively good with 5.7%. The DBB youth demands that everyone under 30 years of age should receive a job offer within four months. This European youth guarantee is only one of the demands aimed at European policy to improve the living and working conditions of young people, such as the external view of state-clear illustrated.

A call for participation

The new state youth leadership sees itself as a language tube of the young generation and is ready to actively work for changes. The topics of the agenda are as diverse as it is urgent: from combating youth unemployment to strengthening unions and digitization to the just design of asylum procedures in Europe.

So you can look forward to what the new state youth leadership tackles! We are convinced that the fresh ideas and the commitment of these young people will do a lot. The DBB youth not only sees itself as a representative of interests, but also as an engine for a more social future in the public service. Here is really something!
