Feldenkrais, motivation and cooking: VHS Eisenach inspires in October!
On October 25, 2025, the Eisenach Adult Education Center will be the contact point for anyone interested in the Feldenkrais method. Under the direction of Karsten Voigtländer, those interested can take part in a special course that focuses on improving physical awareness and perception. This method, named after Israeli physicist Moshé Feldenkrais, aims to strengthen the connections between body and mind. It is viewed as a non-risky exercise therapy that supports people, even if concrete medical evidence is lacking. The Feldenkrais method is particularly popular among various professional groups such as musicians, dancers and athletes who want to optimize their mobility, as eisenachonline.de highlights.
The course takes place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the premises of the adult education center at Markscheffelshof. The participation fee is EUR 27.00 for at least eight participants or EUR 36.00 if only six people register. This course can bring relief, especially for people who suffer from restricted mobility, muscle tension or chronic pain.
A look at the program
But that's not all that the Eisenach Adult Education Center has to offer. On Friday, October 24, 2025, Dr. Sabine Keßler in a lecture entitled “How do I overcome my weakness?” Give tips to increase motivation. This addresses the challenge of procrastination and supports participants in overcoming their inner resistance. The lecture will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the vhs office at Schmelzerstraße 19, Room 07. The fee is EUR 8.00 for eight participants or EUR 10.67 for six.
In addition, a cooking course is offered for all gourmets: “Homemade Chinese spring rolls”. Under the guidance of Jian Chen, participants learn to prepare delicious fillings and master the correct wrapping technique. This evening, also on October 24th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the in-house kitchen team will be on duty. The price for the cooking course is EUR 16.00 plus EUR 10.00 for food and materials, which must be paid in cash to the course instructor on site.
