Swiss street festival 2025: celebration, feasting and music in Sachsenhausen

On June 21st and 22nd, 2025, the Schweizer Straße in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen will be transformed into the venue for the popular Swiss street festival. This event is being held for the 39th time, after the festival had to be postponed last year due to the European Football Championship. The promenade between Gartenstrasse and Textorstrasse is a real feast for the senses this weekend.

The festival will be opened on June 21st at 2 p.m. by Stephanie Wüst, head of the economic department, who will welcome visitors with a ceremonial tapping of a keg. There are around 70 stalls offering both local and international specialties, including the ever-popular Frankfurt sausages, Grie Soß and Ebbelwoi. Nobody has to miss out on musical entertainment either: from 3 p.m., various live bands and DJs will create a great atmosphere on three different stages.

Family-friendly offer

The festival also offers a special program for younger guests. In the play street, children can play and experiment to their heart's content. There will be a raffle on Sunday, June 22nd, with the proceeds going to Frankfurt Children's Aid.

We recommend using public transport or a bicycle to get there, as parking options on site are limited. However, there are parking garages available on Hedderichstrasse and Walter-Kolb-Strasse.
