There is currently a lot to report in Halle (Saale). Yesterday there was a break-in in the basement of an apartment building on Tangermünder Straße. Unknown perpetrators violently broke open a cellar box around 3:30 p.m. and stole several e-scooters. The exact total damage is still unknown to the police. As part of their investigation, the Halle (Saale) police station has already searched for and secured evidence at the crime scene. This was reported by the Saxony-Anhalt Police.

Road traffic accidents

On the same day there was a traffic accident on Goldbergstrasse around 3:00 p.m. A cyclist was injured here after falling without any third-party intervention. The injured man was taken to a city hospital for treatment. The investigation into the accident is also being carried out by the Halle (Saale) police station.
These incidents highlight the general traffic situation in Germany, especially with regard to e-scooters. In 2024 there were already 11,944 e-scooter accidents with personal injuries, an increase of 26.7% compared to the previous year. A trend is immediately apparent: E-scooters now account for 4.1% of all traffic accidents resulting in personal injury, and over 83% of those injured are themselves drivers of the e-scooter.
